Queries Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Caribou County Busted Mugshots does not keep or log those search terms on its own servers through the page interface.
Messages and Contact Details
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the message and contact details are kept so a reply can be made. They are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address a legal or security issue.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Normal page delivery may record technical details about a visit, such as:
- IP address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on each;
- referring page, when supplied; and
- visit timestamps.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages and keep certain features working. A browser can block or delete cookies. Some functions may act differently when they are blocked.
How the Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to:
- keep the service available and responsive;
- send a search request to the correct partner tool;
- learn which pages help visitors;
- find errors and security or performance problems; and
- display advertising that may be relevant to visitor interests.
Links and Advertising Partners
Pages link to the Caribou County Sheriff, jail information, city records forms, Idaho courts, state custody systems, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s own privacy notice and terms control its handling of data.
Some advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across different sites or show targeted ads. That tracking occurs under the partner’s practices, not under a promise that this service can control every outside system.
Who May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold by the operator. It may nevertheless reach the following parties when needed for the stated purposes:
- search partners that handle a query;
- analytics providers;
- advertising networks;
- service providers that support hosting or security; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Limits
Reasonable security practices are used for an internet service, but no connected system can be promised completely safe. There is no guarantee that data will never be exposed through a breach, attack, vendor failure, or event outside the operator’s control.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may write through the Get in Touch page to ask that it be deleted, subject to records that must be retained for legal or security reasons.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a visitor may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data held about the visitor;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion; or
- opt out of selected processing or communications.
Requests may be sent through Get in Touch. A request cannot alter a government record or force an outside provider to change its own data.
Notice Changes
This privacy notice may be revised as the service, vendors, or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date or updated wording. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised practices.
